Quiet prayer time....
This month started out with Clement and I in Alaska. While there, our days consisted of Wrangell and Clement playing and fighting. I would watch them so Julie could cook, run some errands, or just do things without worrying about where Wrangell was or what he was getting into. I felt almost like I had it easier, but Julie insisted on doing most of the cooking while we were there, and she was able to make several freezer meals. We had some nice walks. We saw Wrangell's daycare. Went to a pancake breakfast, and Clement and I had a day date, and went to an inside water park and splashed and slid in water for a few hours. I really had a pleasant time and I think it was good for all.

Coming home as I stated in my last post Cyprian was a little angry toward me for leaving him so long. He quickly came around and we got back into a routine with our days.

What was left of his spiderman face after playing hard.
Mid October we went to Octoberfest, which was being put on by Cyprian's school. Cyprian goes to Good Shepard Catachesis once a week at the really awesome St. Francis Montessori school here in Irving TX. It was a lot of fun for the boys and me. There was a silent auction, live music, good food, games and prizes. Cyprian even ran a one mile race and beat a couple kids bigger and older than him. I loved watching him steadily running, he didn't stop once, just plowed on. Cyprian also got his face painted and spent an hour in the jump house. When he came out the face paint had mostly melted away with sweat. Clement enjoyed the swings and slides and watching other little children.

This is the first year the little guys and I went to the pumpkin patch. We were to meet friends there, but what we didn't realize is that there are two pumpkin patches right next to each other. Not having been there before we ended up at the opposite one of our friends. It all worked out in the end because Cyprian and Clement had so much fun in the bounce houses, slides, swings, and rides that they weren't too disappointed. Cyprian's one paid for ride was in a swing that swung around. Clement rode a pony. We ate lunch and called it a day and headed back home, stopping briefly at Aldies to pick up big carving pumpkins.

Halloween was a crazy day. We woke up to one of my speckled sussex hens lying in the coop yard in shock. She had some blood on her head but nothing else that we could see. We placed her in a box and brought her in the house. Chickens can come out of shock, but it wasn't looking good for Lucy my hen, because she never opened her eyes. We kept her warm and relatively quiet all day. By the end of they day while I took the boys trick or treating I called Franz and he put her out of her misery. The boys had been hyper all day and Clement decided he didn't need to nap. I wasn't sure it would even be a good idea to go out with them in the evening but decided to try any way. I bought face paint and painted Cyprian as spiderman, he wore blue and red clothes to compliment his face. Clement was a pirate, wearing a bandana, leggings, striped shirt, and wielding his awesome wooden sword that Daddy had made for him. Thankfully it wasn't too bad trick or treating. Besides the fact that my jogging stroller wanted to fold up while walking. The latch had become stripped, so I had to devise a hold with one of my scarves.

Cyprian made me a sun:')
